About me

Software development

My name is Witold Pazderski. I'm a senior full stack web developer. I've been programming from a very young age - I wrote my first PHP script at age 11. I've been working on my programming skills ever since. I got my Master of Engineering degree in Computer Science from Faculty of Mathematics and Computer Science, Nicolaus Copernicus University. The studies also gave me the opportunity to improve my leaderships skills - I managed a team during team programming classes. I was also a member of a team that represented the university in international programming contests. Since 2018 I've been a member of the PrivMX team and my primary focus has been on Node.js, TypeScript and React. From October 2020 to August 2022 I was also a half-time employee of Institute of Computer Science, Polish Academy of Sciences, where I used Python and C++ to implement complex algorithms. Working with scientists from various countries gave me the opportunity to improve my spoken English.

Cycling/racing

I started recreational cycling on a touring bike in high school. My goal was to become fit. It took me less than a year to reduce my weight from 110kg to 54kg. When I went to university, the necessity to move to another city caused me to stop cycling. In late 2019 I decided to get back to sport and I bought my first road bike. I started recreational cycling again. However, things were different this time. Lightness, efficiency and aerodynamics of the road bike were triggering me to push myself harder. I kept getting fitter and faster. The thirst for even greater accelerations and higher speeds resulted in me learning how to train properly. In autumn 2021 I started following a training plan. Half a year later I raced for the first time and I won in my age category.
